Coldwell Banker Lakeside Realtors is partnering with A Safe Place for Animals for a pet adoption on Sat., Sept. 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Coldwell Banker Lakeside Realtors office at 530 W. Main Street in Hendersonville.
"We are thrilled to be hosting this event with A Safe Place for Animals" says broker-owner Karlie Kee. "Several of our agents volunteer locally with area shelters, so everyone has been on board with planning this event."
Along with having dogs on site for adoption, there will be food, fun and something for everyone. Riptide Shaved Ice truck will be on hand, as well as the Acopia Home Loans tailgate trailer serving hotdogs, Aussie Pet Mobile and Hendersonville Preppy Pet. Everyone attending is eligible to register for great door prizes from Bark Avenue and Ma & Paws Pet Supply along with other giveaways. Russell the Retriever, the Coldwell Banker mascot, will make an appearance and will be available for photos.
The pet adoption is part of a nationwide adoption weekend which is part of the "Homes for Dogs Project," a three-year campaign launched by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America's largest non-profit pet adoption website. In just the first year alone, the pair has helped more than 20,000 dogs find homes and are continuing this effort throughout 2017.
Donations for the shelter including Purina dog and cat foods, collars and leashes for dogs, chewies, bleach, dish and laundry detergent and paper towels may be dropped off during the event.
"We are lucky enough to help people in Hendersonville and Middle Tennessee find new homes every day," says Kee. "Now, we can extend that service to homeless pets in need. It's a win-win."
