Rebecca S. Jordan, 64, of Hendersonville passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 30, 2017.

She is survived by her husband James of Hendersonville, her two sons, John Jordan of Kirkland WA and Joseph Jordan of Knoxville, TN, her sister Barbara Wagle of Mishawaka, IN and brother Joseph Semenak of Port Townsend, WA, and her beloved grandchildren Oliver and Josephine Jordan of Knoxville.

After earning her MS in Audiology from Vanderbilt University, Becky dedicated her life to helping the hearing impaired. She provided audiological services and taught graduate students at Ball State University in Muncie, IN and The State University of New York at Stony Brook. She returned to Tennessee to establish the Department of Audiology at Nashville Memorial Hospital, where she implemented routine hearing screening for all newborns, the first such program in the area. Services were private, but a celebration of her life is planned for a later date.

Contributions to Alive Hospice of Hendersonville or your favorite charity would be greatly appreciated.
