PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Hendersonville will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 6:00 pm City Hall, 101 Maple Drive North, Hendersonville, TN. The purpose of the hearing is to review the past year's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) performance; and, to obtain views and proposals of interested citizens on community development and housing needs and priorities for the City's Five-Year Consolidated Plan covering the period from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2023 and the 2017-2018 Annual Action Plan. The Consolidated Plan is a requirement for the City of Hendersonville to receive funds through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Consolidated Plan is a comprehensive planning document on housing and community development that includes an analysis of the current housing market, an assessment of the affordable and fair housing and community development needs, strategies and goals for meeting the needs identified, and an annual action plan for utilizing CDBG funds allocated to the City of Hendersonville. As required, the Plan identifies specific strategies to address affordable housing in general, non-housing community development, housing homeless persons, and supportive housing for persons with special needs. Verbal and written citizen comments will be considered.
