MGM Industries, a local manufacturer of painted vinyl windows and doors, has hired Scott Sheffield as president to oversee all operations of the Hendersonville plant.
With over 30 years of experience in vinyl window manufacturing, Sheffield was a logical choice.
"Scott's extensive and intimate knowledge of window manufacturing, extrusion, logistics and management put him at the top of our list," explains Greg Schorr, CEO of the recently merged company.
Previously, Sheffield was vice president of Deceuninck North America at their Ohio facility. There he managed and directed all manufacturing operations, including materials research, compounding, tool manufacturing, extrusion, supply chain and logistics.
Sheffield served as director of operational initiatives, plant manager, and director of operations for Simonton's fabrication subsidiary, Simonton Windows. Sheffield also held positions at Simonton's SimEx Vinyl Extrusion. Prior to his work with Simonton, Sheffield held various positions at Vinyl Tool & Die Company in Youngstown, Ohio.
Sheffield earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University. He also obtained his Six Sigma Green Belt designation from Villanova University's certification program and is a graduate of the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Leadership Development Course in Chicago, Illinois.
