Former Beech Buc standout and Vol State baseball player Daniel Lankster has signed to continue his career on the diamond at Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville for the upcoming 2018 season. Lankster is a 2015 graduate of Beech High School, recently graduating from Vol State this past spring.
During his time at Volunteer State, Lankster managed to maintain a 3.3 grade-point-average with a major in social science and minor in law enforcement/criminal justice.
Over the summer, Lankster continued his hard work by playing in the Kansas Collegiate League. While in Kansas, Lankster batted .259 with an on-base-percentage of .455 and a slugging percentage of .284. He recorded 13 RBIs, 21 hits and drew 21 walks. Following a great fielding percentage of .897, Lankster was named to the 2017 KCLB All-Star Team.
Lankster will play second base/short stop for the Trojans.
