Hendersonville mailman assaulted

On Saturday, Sept. 2, around 12:30 pm, Hendersonville police responded to an aggravated assault around the area of West Harbor Drive off of Rockland Road.

According to the complainant he was delivering mail in the area when a dark colored sedan occupied by two black males passed by at a high rate of speed. The complainant stated that one of the subjects in the vehicle pointed what appeared to be a gun in his direction and fired the gun.

Even though the gun made a sound as if it were a real gun, there was no evidence that bullets were fired from the gun. According to the information collected to this point, it is questionable if this was a real gun however, the person that pointed the gun in the direction of the complainant, which constitutes the crime of aggravated assault. The mailman did not sustain any injuries.
