More than 100 high school tennis players from across the state will come to Hendersonville April 21-22 for the Hendersonville High School Invitational tournament.
Match play will begin at 9 a.m. April 21 and 22 (weather permitting) at Memorial Park. The public is invited to watch and limited concessions will be available to benefit the HHS boys and girls tennis teams.
Some matches will also be held at the Indian Lake Swim & Tennis Club. Teams will play two team matches on Friday and 1 team match on Saturday.
Participating schools will include:
(Boys) Brighton High in Memphis, Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Cookeville, Hardin County, Harding Academy in Memphis, Mt Juliet, Rossview (Clarksville) and Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson, Tenn. Hendersonville boys are not participating this year due to prom.
(Girls) CPA, Cookeville, Hendersonville, Hardin County, Harding Academy, Siegel, TCA, and Union City.
The HHS girls have won the District 9AAA the last five years in a row, and have won the Region 5AAA the last four years.
HHS Girls roster: Lucy Sims, Grace Phillips, Caroline Miller, Audrey Spurlock, Katie Lee, Bella Lodge, Emory Creager, and Emily Williams.
