Catherine May Wooten, age 85 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was a Cafeteria Lady with the Sumner County School System for 25 years where she touched the lives of many children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucion and Maggie Copeland and her brother, Lucion Copeland, Jr.

She is survived by her Husband of 70 years, Harold Wooten; daughters, Cheryl (Bill) Jung and Penny (Terry) Mundy; son, Jerry (Nancy) Wooten; brother, Edgar Copeland; grandchildren, Brandon Wooten, Jake Jung, Shannon Hodge and Sunday Mackorell; great-grandchildren; Evan Hodge, Lillian Huffine, John and Ava Mackorel.

Her family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville on Monday, March 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m, and on Tuesday, March 21, from 10 a.m. until her Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. with Bro. Jimmy Case officiating. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
