GALLATIN--The Beech girls basketball team used a furious press and smothering defense to break open a tight game in the third quarter against District 9-AAA rival Gallatin to claim a 49-35 win on the road Friday.
GALLATIN- The Hendersonville High boys basketball team gave undefeated Station Camp a battle until the final quarter on Tuesday evening, but the Bison ultimately prevailed with little drama and coasted to a 66-51 win.

GALLATIN- After a phenomenal start to the season, the Station Camp girls' basketball team has hit a stumbling block. The Lady Bison lost to Hendersonville last Friday and proceeded to fall to Stewarts Creek by a score of 58-39 on Monday evening.
HENDERSONVILLE - Mia Dean scored the only Beech points in the overtime period but her five were just enough for a 56-54 Lady Buccaneer win over Smyrna Tuesday night.
The Station Camp boys bowling team finished as runners-up in the 2016-17 District 12 bowling tournament and will move on to the region tournament early next year. The Lebanon boys and girls team won the district tournaments and Wilson Central finished as the runner-up on the girls side.
GALLATIN- Drew Johnson and his Hendersonville High girls basketball team knew they were in for a challenge when they made the short trek across town to face undefeated Station Camp. However, the Lady Commandos rose to the occasion and handed the Lady Bison a 68-60 loss last Tuesday evening.
HENDERSONVILLE - Knox Doss opened their game last Thursday against Rucker on a 9-0 run and never looked back in a 59-25 win.
HENDERSONVILLE - One wild three point basket wasn't enough for Knox Doss's Kaleb Powell. The first with 19 seconds remaining tied the game between Knox Doss and Hunter at 44 and his second, as time expired, gave the Mustangs the win as well as the regular season Sumner County Middle School boys basketball title and the postseason tournament's top-seed.
HENDERSONVILLE--The Rucker Stewart girls' basketball team poured it on their Knox Doss counterparts in the second half of a 45-25 win last Thursday night.
COOKEVILLE - Three area football players, Emmitt Richardson and Daly Cull from Hendersonville and Jordan Mason from Gallatin, participated in their final high school football game last Friday during the Toyota East West All-Star game.
