A little more than 100 volunteers took part in a citywide clean-up on Saturday, April 8, according to Hendersonville Mayor Jamie Clary.

Clary thanked volunteers during the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on Tuesday. Groups from Cornerstone Church in Madison, the Hendersonville Lions Club, Sam's Club, Hook One and Merrol Hyde Magnet School were among those who helped spruce up city parks like Kids Kingdom and Memorial Park. The shoreline along Old Hickory Lake also received some much-needed attention.
